Honestly, compared to what you hear out of many of the NYPD union reps, that sounds very sane.
But yeah, police union reps often seem to belligerent champions of their officers, with little understanding that belligerently championing officers in obvious cases of corruption or excessive force or even minor attempts at oversight throws their entire membership into disrepute, and makes it seem even more necessary to have more monitoring and accountability.

Yep, I can believe it. Sadly for the good officers, SPD has a rep.
I also like how these are the one union that the so-called right has no problems with.
